Justice40 Initiative Stakeholders
Disadvantaged Communities
Communities that are marginalized, underserved, and overburdened by pollution. Areas with high levels of poverty, health disparities, and environmental hazards.
Marginalized Groups
Racial and ethnic minorities, low-income populations, indigenous peoples, and other vulnerable groups who have historically been excluded from economic opportunities and face greater environmental risks. Environmental Justice Advocates:
Organizations and individuals working to address environmental justice issues and promote equitable policies and practices.
What kinds of investments fall within the Justice40 Initiative?
The categories of investment are: climate change, clean energy and energy efficiency, clean transit, affordable and sustainable housing, training and workforce development, remediation and reduction of legacy pollution, and the development of critical clean water and wastewater infrastructure.
